Trump reiterated his previous claims that the revenues from trade tariffs could help the U.S. government lower income taxes, although he did not clarify these statements.
"When the tariffs take effect, the income taxes of many people will be significantly reduced, possibly even completely eliminated. Attention will be focused on individuals earning less than 200,000 $ per year," Trump wrote in a post on Truth.Social.
