Trump criticizes Putin after meeting with Zelensky: “Maybe he doesn't want to stop the war”

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, questioned the willingness of Russian President Vladimir Putin to reach a peace agreement. He did so shortly after meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in the Vatican, just minutes before the start of Pope Francis's funeral this Saturday.

A White House spokesperson accompanying Trump stated that both leaders “met privately today and had a very productive conversation.”
