SEC Resolution: Asset Migration
As part of an ongoing legal process, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has filed lawsuits against Coinbase, alleging that certain digital assets traded on our platform are considered unregistered securities. While Coinbase vehemently denies these accusations and is actively defending itself, these regulatory actions pose immediate risks to access to the platform, asset custody, and trading services.
In light of this, Coinbase is acting swiftly to allow customers uninterrupted access to their assets by transitioning to a self-custodial Coinbase Wallet.
