$ETH

Ethereum ($ETH) is a decentralized blockchain platform created by Vitalik Buterin in 2015. It allows developers to build smart contracts — self-executing agreements coded directly onto the blockchain. Unlike Bitcoin, which mainly serves as digital money, Ethereum supports decentralized apps (dApps), NFTs, and DeFi projects. Ether (ETH) is the native cryptocurrency used to pay for transactions and computational services. In 2022, Ethereum transitioned from Proof of Work to Proof of Stake with "The Merge," making it more energy-efficient. It’s a foundation for much of today’s crypto innovation. Ethereum 2.0 upgrades continue to improve speed, scalability, and security. ETH is often called the "world computer," aiming to create a fairer, decentralized internet economy without intermediaries.
