#TariffsPause By the end of 2030, digital gold could rise to $2.4 million amid increasing adoption of the asset by institutions and sovereign funds. Such calculations were provided by ARK Invest.

Experts have set benchmarks for bearish, base, and bullish scenarios at $500,000, $1.2 million, and $2.4 million, respectively. In a previous review from February 11, these targets were set lower - $300,000, $710,000, and $1.5 million, respectively.

The average annual growth rates are expected to be 32%, 53%, and 72%.

The analysis is based on calculations of the total addressable market (TAM), penetration rates, and the issuance of the first cryptocurrency.

The largest contribution to the optimistic forecast comes from institutional investors' investments. According to modeling, Bitcoin's share in the total capitalization of the financial market valued at $200 trillion will be 6.5%.

The recognition of the first cryptocurrency as 'digital gold' under the bullish scenario will lead to an increase to 60% of the total market value of the asset compared to the similar indicator of the precious metal.

The third component will be the perception of Bitcoin as a 'safe haven' in the markets of developing economies. In this case, the first cryptocurrency could account for up to 6% of the total value of portfolios.

To a lesser extent, the growth of digital gold will be driven by purchases as a reserve asset by states and corporations. Penetration levels in the bullish forecast are expected to be 7% and 10%, respectively.

Bitcoin's share in DeFi could rise to 60%, but given the modest TAM, the impact on quotes will be limited - only 1.9% of the fair value in the optimistic scenario.

At a price of $2.4 million, the market capitalization of the first cryptocurrency will reach $49.2 trillion, exceeding the combined GDP of the USA and China at present. In this case, Bitcoin will surpass the leading precious metal, whose total market value is $22.5 trillion.

Recall that former BitMEX head Arthur Hayes named $1 million as a benchmark for the price of digital gold. He sees the return of the Federal Reserve to economic stimulus as a driver.

$BTC Earlier, Standard Chartered confirmed its target benchmarks for Bitcoin - $200,000 by the end of 2025 and $500,000 by the end of 2028.
