Former President Donald Trump has announced that he recently received a phone call from a representative of the Chinese government, and he anticipates a new trade agreement between the United States and China in the coming weeks.

In an interview with Time Magazine, Trump revealed that discussions—primarily focused on tariffs—could lead to a finalized deal within three to four weeks, based on the progress of previous negotiations.

However, the Chinese government quickly denied these claims, asserting that no negotiations are currently taking place.
