According to a new report by Deloitte, bringing real estate ownership onto the blockchain (tokenization) could create a market worth $4 trillion by 2035, growing at an average of 27% per year from the current level of under $300 billion.
Tokenization enables faster transactions, lower fees, and fractional ownership to allow more people to invest. Deloitte predicts three main segments: real estate-backed bonds/debt securities (accounting for the largest share, approximately $2.4 trillion), private real estate funds ($1 trillion), and developing land projects ($500 billion).
