⚠️ Bitcoin’s Centralization Crisis! ⚠️
Not spreading FUD—but every $BTC holder must know this.
I've held Bitcoin for 8+ years, and I still believe in it. But I just uncovered a major threat:
The network isn’t as decentralized as we thought.
What’s the risk?
Bitcoin’s strength = decentralization. But over 80% of hashrate is controlled by just 5 mining pools.
That’s dangerously close to the 51% attack threshold.
Who controls the hashrate?
US: Foundry, MARA Pool 🇺🇸
China: Antpool, ViaBTC, F2Pool 🇨🇳
Together, they dominate 90%+ of the network.
Even worse: Proxy pools make it look less centralized than it really is.
E.g., Antpool appears to have ~20%, but with proxies, it’s closer to 30%+.
Why it matters:
Governments can pressure these pools. Bitcoin’s censorship resistance is at risk.
But there’s hope!
Here’s how we fight back:
✅ Support smaller pools
✅ Promote solo/home mining
✅ Shift hashrate to decentralized networks
Let’s keep Bitcoin free, open & decentralized.
