The cryptocurrency market began 2025 not in the best way, falling by 20% since the start of the year, despite positive expectations from investors. The main factor was the indications from U.S. President Donald Trump about the creation of a strategic reserve in cryptocurrency. However, most major cryptocurrencies continued their negative trend.

Out of the top 100 cryptocurrencies, about 50 showed a decline of 20% to 75%. The biggest attention is drawn to the underperformers: the Movement token (MOVE) dropped by 75%, Theta Network (THETA) by 70%, Ethena (ENA) by more than 60%. The meme coin Floki and the Worldcoin token also lost about 60% of their value.

Investors remain cautious, as expected volatility and news about regulation continue to impact the market. Nevertheless, experts suggest that by the end of the year, Bitcoin could reach $150,000. What does the future hold for cryptocurrencies? Time will tell.$BTC $BNB
