CME launches futures on May 19

CME Group, the largest derivatives exchange in the world, has announced the launch of futures worth #xrp on its platform starting May 19.
This expansion of its cryptocurrency product offerings will allow traders to trade XRP futures contracts, subject to regulatory approval.
"As innovation in the digital asset landscape continues to evolve, market participants are increasingly turning to regulated derivative products to manage risks across a broader range of tokens," said Giovanni Vicioso, Global Director of Cryptocurrency Products at CME Group. "Interest in XRP and its underlying ledger (XRPL) has steadily increased as adoption of the network grows among institutions and retail users, and we are pleased to launch these new futures contracts to provide a capital-efficient toolkit that supports our clients' investment and hedging strategies."
