U.S. President Donald Trump declared that he was not "happy" after Russia launched its deadliest wave of attacks on Kyiv in nine months, telling President Vladimir Putin "STOP!" as he tries to pressure Ukraine to accept a disputed ceasefire proposal.

Moscow sent 70 missiles and 145 drones towards Ukraine, mainly targeting Kyiv, during an attack that leader Volodymyr Zelensky declared aimed to exert pressure on the United States.

"I am not happy with the Russian attacks on KYIV. It is unnecessary, and it is a very bad time. Vladimir, STOP! 5000 soldiers die each week. Let’s finalize the peace agreement!" Trump wrote on Truth Social on Thursday.
