🇺🇸 Attorneys General from 12 states have sued Trump, trying to block new tariffs — CNBC
The lawsuit states that the president exceeded his authority by imposing tariffs under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) without Congressional approval.
Among the plaintiffs are New York, Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Maine, Minnesota, New Mexico, Oregon, Vermont, and one other state.
"Trump is misusing the IEEPA — in 50 years, no president has imposed tariffs on this basis," the lawsuit states.
