How Someone Got Trapped in a Honeypot Scam – Learn from This🚨🚨

Someone recently fell victim to a honeypot trap, and it’s a perfect example of how easily it can happen.

They received random tokens in their wallet out of nowhere:

• 5,000,000 SHIB

• 540 USDC (with a shortened link in the name)

• 200 USDT

It looked like free money, so out of curiosity, they tried to swap the USDC using their wallet. But the moment they interacted with the token, the smart contract was triggered — and within seconds, their wallet was completely drained.

The scam was hidden in the token's contract. By approving or interacting with it, they unknowingly gave permission for the contract to access their funds.

This is how the trap works:

1. Scammers send fake tokens to random wallets

2. Token names often include links to lure you into clicking

3. Interaction with the token (swap, approve, transfer) activates malicious code

4. Funds are drained instantly once permissions are granted

Lesson:

Never touch or try to move tokens you didn’t buy or expect.

Always check on Etherscan or BSCScan before doing anything.

If it looks like free money — it’s probably a trap.
