Mind Network: Safeguarding AI Agents with FHE technology
On April 20, Wublock published an article introducing the Binance wallet IDO project Mind Network, which is invested by Binance Labs and aims to solve the security challenges of AI Agents using FHE (Fully Homomorphic Encryption) technology.
I. Project Background and Highlights
In the past year, AI Agents have become a hot topic, with many star projects emerging, and 2025 may continue to see explosive potential. However, as their capabilities increase, user privacy and data security issues become prominent. Compared to the more well-known ZK (Zero-Knowledge Proof) and MPC (Multi-Party Computation), FHE has tremendous potential in handling massive sensitive data scenarios for AI Agents, yet it remains under-explored. Mind Network was born in this context; it is the first project to apply FHE technology to AI infrastructure, with the core highlight being the introduction of an end-to-end encrypted computing architecture in multi-agent systems.
II. Project Details
Basic Information: Established in 2022, the team comes from fields such as cryptography, blockchain, and artificial intelligence. It builds a secure and efficient network platform based on FHE technology, providing solutions for data sovereignty protection, fair consensus, private voting, etc. The goal is to lead Web3 into a new era of quantum resistance and end-to-end encryption, constructing trusted AI infrastructure to address the four major challenges of consensus security, data security, computational security, and communication security.
Funding and Cooperation: Completed a $2.5 million seed round financing in 2023, and a $10 million Pre-A round financing in 2024, with participation from well-known institutions like Animoca Brands. Selected for Binance Labs' fifth season incubation program and Chainlink BUILD program, collaborating with Zama, Chainlink, etc., to launch technology standards and products like HTTPZ and MindV Hubs. The mainnet officially launched in November 2024, with TGE completed in 2025.
FHE Technology: Can perform direct computations on encrypted data, with results still encrypted, requiring no decryption throughout the process. It includes three processes: encryption, computation, and decryption, with great application potential in fields such as healthcare and finance. Compared to ZK (Zero-Knowledge) and MPC (Multi-Party Computation), it has outstanding advantages in AI, ensuring data remains encrypted during AI data processing and model training.
HTTPZ: Next generation internet protocol, jointly proposed by Mind Network and ZAMA, utilizing FHE technology to achieve end-to-end encryption of network data. Compared to traditional HTTP and HTTPS, it has a wider encryption scope, adopts a zero-trust architecture, and can support emerging technologies such as blockchain, AI, and quantum computing, promoting the internet's development towards decentralization and intelligence.
