The latest filing by MicroStrategy with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) shows that the company purchased 6,566 bitcoins for approximately $555.8 million between April 14 and April 20, at an average price of $84,785 per coin. This increase brings its total bitcoin holdings to 538,200 coins, with a total cost of about $36.5 billion and an average price of $67,766 per coin.
The funds for this purchase mainly came from stock issuance proceeds, including the sale of common and preferred stocks. This is MicroStrategy's second large purchase since announcing the acquisition of 3,459 BTC on April 14, following a brief pause in accumulation from late March to early April.
