Following the leadership reshuffle in March, the Ethereum Foundation has refocused its efforts on improving user experience and addressing layer-1 scaling challenges. Tomasz Stańczak, co-executive director of the Ethereum Foundation, shared that the restructuring is designed to give Vitalik Buterin more time for research. Since then, Buterin has proposed privacy and speed improvements for Ethereum, including transaction anonymization and enhanced blockchain efficiency. The foundation’s near-term goals include scaling improvements, interoperability, and user experience upgrades in upcoming protocol versions. Stańczak emphasized that Buterin’s proposals spark discussions and research, while the foundation remains focused on both short-term and long-term projects.
