Recently, rumors have circulated that SWIFT—the global interbank network—might integrate Ripple’s XRP Ledger. However, most of the information remains speculative. Ripple has been aggressively expanding into traditional finance, notably acquiring Hidden Road for $1.25 billion and launching the RLUSD stablecoin, yet there’s no concrete evidence of an official SWIFT partnership. Some industry voices cite reports and DLT pilot programs, but these were not led by SWIFT. Additionally, both Ripple and SWIFT adopting the ISO 20022 standard has been misinterpreted as a sign of collaboration. If such an integration were to happen, it would mark a major milestone in bridging blockchain and traditional finance. For now, however, it remains speculative and unconfirmed.
