Five Major Principles of Trading:
To excel in trading, the first thing we must do is control account drawdown risk, manage our funds well, and prevent catastrophic losses from margin calls and continuous stop losses. Therefore, risk control is paramount and serves as a lifeline. During the trading process, one can make small mistakes, but not big ones, and certainly not let emotions take over. Once emotions take over, it may lead to irreparable consequences. The second principle is to keep trading simple by going with the trend. Do not try to predict or guess the market. When you identify an opportunity to enter a trade, do so decisively. The third principle is to wait for opportunities. True experts excel at waiting for opportunities, waiting for market conditions that are certain for you. Avoid trading in unclear or confusing market conditions. Always aim to miss an opportunity rather than make a mistake. Like a sniper, wait for your target, aim, and take a precise shot, rather than using a machine gun and wasting bullets without hitting the target. The fourth principle is to achieve stable profits, which begins with having a complete trading system. However, a trading system is merely a set of rules; the most important aspect is execution. Thus, the fourth principle is crucial: strictly adhere to your trading discipline and achieve unity of knowledge and action to truly make money in this market. The fifth principle is emotional management. No matter how proficient you are in trading or how much money you make, you will inevitably encounter various challenges and emotional disruptions that can lead to losses. At such times, it is especially important to maintain emotional stability. Do not let market fluctuations overwhelm you, do not complain about the market, and do not focus solely on the positive while ignoring the negatives. Evaluate the market and your own shortcomings fairly and justly. A stable trader must continuously work on their mental fortitude; you are your own support, and others will only influence the speed at which you react.
