God today made me remember the message of Peter saying to give his life for Christ, but today God added a detail.
John 13:36-38: "Simon Peter said to Him, 'Lord, where are You going?' Jesus answered him, 'Where I am going, you cannot follow Me now, but you shall follow Me afterward.' Peter said to Him, 'Why can I not follow You now? I will lay down my life for You.' Jesus answered him, 'Will you lay down your life for My sake? Most assuredly, I say to you, the rooster shall not crow till you have denied Me three times.'"
We can only give what we have, and Peter, as he had not yet received Life through the sacrifice on the Cross, had nothing to give!!!
After the Sacrifice, Peter is clothed with Life and Power and fulfills the Word which is Life!!!
Acts 3:6-8: "Then Peter said, 'Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.' And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them, walking, leaping, and praising God.'"
Peter only gave his life after receiving New Life, for before the Sacrifice of Christ, Peter was dead in his sins!!!
The Justice of God is Perfect and the mysteries of the Kingdom are beautiful!!!
