China's Strong Response to 104% U.S. Tariffs 🇨🇳 A Chinese spokesperson issued a firm statement in reaction to the U.S. implementing 104% tariffs: “We are not instigators, but we won’t back down when challenged. Intimidation, threats, and blackmail are not how you engage with China. We will not allow anyone to take away the Chinese people’s right to development. We will not tolerate any actions that threaten China’s sovereignty, security, or development interests. Based on its actions, the U.S. doesn’t seem interested in talks right now. If they truly want dialogue, they must show they’re ready to engage with respect, equality, and mutual benefit. If the U.S. insists on ignoring the interests of itself, China, and the world, and continues down the path of a trade war, China’s response will continue relentlessly.”
