**Blockchain Voting in New York?**

New York State is exploring blockchain's potential in elections. Assemblymember Clyde Vanel introduced Bill A07716, urging the state Board of Elections to assess blockchain's role in securing voter records and results. The bill is under review by the Assembly Election Law Committee.

The proposed study will gather insights from blockchain, cybersecurity, and election experts. This isn't the first blockchain voting initiative; similar efforts have occurred in Tennessee and London.

Vanel, familiar with blockchain, has previously pushed for crypto fraud prevention and advocated for better industry-regulator communication.
