Aave DAO has approved a $4 million AAVE buyback plan with 99.63% support. The first phase will last one month, and if successful, may expand into a six-month program with $1 million in weekly purchases. Bought tokens will be allocated to the Ecosystem Reserve to enhance the protocol’s value. This marks the first step in a major tokenomics overhaul called Aavenomics, which includes anti-bank-run systems, GHO reward tokens, and reclaiming unclaimed LEND tokens.
