THERE'S NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT
I’m sure you’ve heard all about the customs duties decision from last night. My opinion is that imposing high tariffs is just for show; then countries retaliate and we negotiate. Each side concedes a bit, and we reach a common agreement with reasonable tariff levels, and in that way, the U.S. achieves its goals, like haggling at a market. It’s not like they will just keep raising them day by day.
A world of free trade doesn’t allow governments to do that; high tariffs mean soaring commodity prices that citizens can’t bear.
In reality, the reciprocal tariff applied on April 9 is meant to allow time for negotiation.
So this news is only bad in the short term, and I don’t see much selling pressure in the market. You don’t have to be afraid
