American Bitcoin is a newly established cryptocurrency mining venture formed through a partnership between Hut 8, a Miami-based Bitcoin mining platform, and Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr. This collaboration aims to create an industrial-scale Bitcoin mining operation and develop a strategic Bitcoin reserve. Hut 8 holds an 80% stake in the company, while the remaining 20% is owned by American Data Centers, Inc., an entity associated with the Trump family. Eric Trump serves as the Chief Strategy Officer of American Bitcoin.
The venture plans to go public and seek additional private capital to support its growth objectives.
