Ecosystem Insights

Tezos Trailblazers Launch

In March 2025, the Tezos Trailblazers program was introduced, a dynamic initiative designed to recognize and reward contributors across various sectors of the ecosystem. More than just an ambassador program, it’s a movement aimed at empowering builders, creators, and changemakers passionate about advancing the Tezos ecosystem.

Participants, known as Trailblazers, engage in task-based missions tailored to their skills, ranging from storytelling and community engagement to technical testing and event organization. This flexible approach ensures that every contributor can make a meaningful impact, and it’s open to both longtime community members and new faces ready to shape the future of Tezos. Hanji Goes Live on Etherlink

Hanji, a fully on-chain Central Limit Order Book (CLOB) exchange, officially launched on Etherlink this month. Built for traders, Hanji offers a decentralized order book model where all orders are placed and matched directly on-chain. This setup ensures transparency, composability, and tight spreads, something traditional AMMs often struggle with.

Hanji is also one of the protocols featured in the Applefarm initiative, where users earn “Apples” by participating in its on-chain trading ecosystem. With plans to introduce perpetual and LP tokens in the future, Hanji can quickly become a key player in the DeFi scene on Etherlink.

Applefarm Launch on Etherlink

On March 26th, Etherlink unveiled Apple Farm Season 1, a liquidity incentive program allocating $3 million in rewards to bootstrap the DeFi ecosystem on the platform. Participants can earn “Apples” by providing liquidity, lending, or trading across participating protocols such as Superlend, IguanaDEX, Hanji, and Uranium.io.

Apples accrue every 8 hours and can be claimed anytime, with rewards paid out in tez (XTZ) at the end of the season. This initiative aims to encourage user engagement and liquidity provision, vital components for a healthy DeFi ecosystem.

Skurpy Launches a Brand New Social Media/NFT Marketplace on Tezos

Skurpy, a newly launched platform on Tezos, brings together social media functionality with an NFT marketplace. Users can post content (called “Skurps”), message each other, participate in group chats, and directly mint, collect, and trade NFTs in one unified experience.

The platform honors on-chain royalties, supports custom contract deployments, and adds gamified rewards for active users. With a clean UI and creator-friendly tools, Skurpy blends fun and functionality, offering a space for casual social interaction while also catering to serious NFT creators and collectors through its versatile marketplace tools. For this early stage, the platform is invite-only, but since this is the Tezos community we are talking about, getting an invite is pretty easy, just ask on twitter, and one of the users will get you covered.
