BNB Chain has officially announced its upcoming Lorentz upgrade. The Lorentz upgrade will reduce the block time to 1.5 seconds, resulting in faster transaction speeds and improved overall network efficiency.
Looking ahead, BNB Chain plans to launch a second upgrade named Maxwell in June 2025. This upgrade will further accelerate block production by lowering block time to 0.75 seconds, making it one of the fastest Layer 1 networks in the industry.
