I had the same experience in Mexc only in Orca, but I shorted 20$ leveraged x7 I won 8$ but when I closed the position they charged me a commission of 5$ too much only in Orca

$ORCA I was charged a $6,500 liquidation fee on a $6,500 on manta (no funding fee involved). Meanwhile, my ORCA position worth $50,000 was liquidated with just ~$450 fee, despite being in a high volatility environment, 15% mark price spike, and much worse market conditions.
MANTA was completely stable at the time, with small movement and decent liquidity. I also had a $2,000 hedge short on MANTA, and both sides were liquidated together.
I'm currently waiting for the upper-level Binance team to review the appeal (told it may take 7 days). But here’s what matters:
Bankruptcy Status:
According to Binance rules, no liquidation fee should be charged on bankrupt positions.
My account was bankrupt at the time of liquidation — visible in the order history.
So Insurance Clear Fee was still deducted
Fee Amount vs. Position Size:
A $6.5K fee makes no logical sense on a $6.5K position.
It would make sense only if the system thought the position was worth $8 million, which clearly wasn't the case.
Systemic Risk or Bug?
I had ~8K USDT margin visible during the first liquidation, yet it didn’t protect my position.
Then, due to cascading liquidation, all my positions were closed.
The system prioritized deducting fees over saving positions, which might indicate a design flaw or at least something worth checking.
I’m open to reasonable explanations, but this situation clearly looks inconsistent and possibly unfair. If anyone else experienced huge fees during liquidation, especially under bankruptcy, please share your case. Transparency matters.
I don't want to live anymore. According to the rules, I'm right, but I don't know what's going on. I have loans to pay off too. I've never had such a case. I've been trading since 2018 and I'm a Binance profitable trader.
Let’s hope the Binance team looks into this carefully. I trusted the platform, but I never expected to get wiped purely by fees.
