WHAT IS AGI?
AGI or General Artificial Intelligence refers to a type of artificial intelligence that has the ability to understand, learn, and perform any intellectual task that a human being can do. Unlike Narrow AI, which is designed for specific tasks (such as facial recognition or language translation), AGI would be a versatile AI, capable of adapting to different contexts and solving various problems without needing specific programming for each situation.
Imagine AGI as an artificial mind that not only executes commands but also thinks independently, reasons, makes decisions, and even learns from experiences, just as a human would. It is still a theoretical concept and has not been achieved yet; current AI systems are examples of narrow AI, optimized for specific functions.
The pursuit of AGI is one of the major goals of AI research and is triggering a silent and rapid race to achieve success in AGI. As a result, we are seeing more and more projects focusing on this area, and whoever accomplishes this will certainly become as well-known as other major players in the field.
There are good projects that are well advanced in this area, but there are still obstacles to overcome, and it seems to me that it won't be long before they achieve this. This is one of the reasons that keeps me investing in AI, and I will increase my investments while prices remain this low. 💛✊🏻🚀
