Some say that understanding HashKey is to understand half of the history of cryptocurrency development in Hong Kong. From 2018 to 2025, the massive market has gradually attracted a wave of talent, and Anna, who has grown alongside HashKey, has also built a team, becoming the CEO of HashKey Tokenisation. Strength, opportunity, courage, and persistence are all indispensable.

Compliance and innovation complement each other

From law to business, Anna, who has been rooted in Hong Kong for 12 years, has a deep affection for this vibrant city. Hong Kong's internationalization and free spirit provide her with greater development space, where Eastern and Western cultural traits deeply blend. The career transition has also brought changes to her thinking and life.

“From legal to business, I have transformed from a rule guardian into an innovator. My legal background allows me to pay more attention to risk control in business decisions, while my business role enables me to think about problems from a holistic perspective, focusing more on strategic planning and resource integration. This transformation has broadened my thinking patterns and made me more flexible and pragmatic. From another perspective, compliance and innovation are not opposites; they are more like two sides of the same coin, complementing each other. We emphasize compliance as the baseline and aim to drive projects to achieve commercial value, continuously iterating our thinking in the process of innovation and practice, seeking new directions and momentum for development.”

As a veteran member who joined HashKey Group in 2018, Anna has witnessed HashKey's growth. As the CEO of HashKey Tokenisation, while pursuing innovation, there is also a need to further strengthen collaboration with other departments.

Anna mentioned that HashKey Tokenisation is HashKey Group's tokenization service organization, focusing on providing end-to-end tokenization solutions for quality projects and assets, including business model refinement, token economic model design, guidance on building the entire issuance structure, and technical platform support, creating more unique quality assets for Hong Kong and other regions.

“In the process of advancing projects, we also seek to collaborate with other businesses/departments within the group. HashKey Group owns Hong Kong's largest licensed virtual asset exchange HashKey Exchange, the global virtual asset exchange HashKey Global, the global asset management institution HashKey Capital, the HashKey OTC which provides compliant digital asset over-the-counter trading services, and the leading Web3 infrastructure provider HashKey Cloud. Additionally, HashKey Group has a rich on-chain ecosystem, having developed Ethereum L2.

HashKey Chain has launched the HashKey ecosystem token HSK. We hope to provide users with a more trustworthy one-stop digital asset service through cross-business/department collaboration.”

A balance of firmness and flexibility seeking a win-win

“I believe Web3 represents a new production relationship and value system. It breaks the information asymmetry brought by traditional centralized structures, making individuals not just receivers and creators of information, but more so owners of the information and its inherent value.”

“As a woman, I feel that Web3 offers more equality and opportunities for autonomous creation, allowing me to exert my influence in a balanced, transparent, and fair environment. The choice of the Web3 industry is because we believe it can ultimately reshape the existing system and provide more people with open and transparent opportunities. Choosing HashKey Group is because it stands at the forefront of innovation as an industry pioneer, allowing me to work with like-minded partners to drive industry development. Although this process is challenging, it has long-term value and shows me the potential to change the future.”

Anna believes that female leaders in the Web3 industry have unique advantages: “Women possess unique strengths in innovation and exploration, such as stronger empathetic abilities, finer insights, and resilience. These qualities allow us to better understand the needs of all parties, not only internally but also including external clients. We not only focus on the integration of innovation and business models but also on balancing the interests of all parties, including social impact and the long-term value of the matter. This balance helps me find unique value in the overall development of the situation, finding equilibrium in a complex environment, achieving a blend of firmness and flexibility, and ultimately realizing a win-win.”

In addition to empathy and a holistic perspective, the most important thing is still professional capability, which is key to gaining trust. “In our group, there are more and more women emerging, demonstrating strong professional skills and leadership. I am very happy to see an increasing number of female strengths becoming the backbone. But I believe that gender is not the key to determining leadership; core leadership still comes from vertical depth in expertise, horizontal breadth in perspective, and sufficient adaptability considering specific situations. Therefore, we still focus on results in team development, promoting collaborative growth within the team.”

The female power that nurtures like spring rain

Women in high positions always face the challenge of balancing work and family, but with Anna, one can sense a harmonious self-consistency. She always believes in starting from her own feelings to find a comfortable state in work and life: “I fully engage in different environments, working efficiently, living mindfully, and focusing on the present. When I work, I prioritize tasks by importance; on weekends or during leisure time, I try my best to accompany my family and enrich our shared experiences, such as participating in parent-child activities or hiking. This not only deepens my relationship with my family but also creates shared memories. The harmonious family and parent-child relationship brought by high-quality companionship is something I take great pride in, and it is also the greatest support for my focus on work.” She achieves a comfortable state with a peaceful and natural attitude and strong empathy, making everyone who interacts with her feel as if they are basking in spring sunshine.

Perhaps this is the nurturing power of women; the stereotypical image of female leaders as 'tiger moms' in families does not apply to Anna. She smiles and says: “Helicopter parenting? Not at all. It’s more important to take care of yourself than to raise children well.”
