Headline: China Fund News | Longgang Data Factor Workstation Assists CloudWalk in Creating High-Quality Datasets, Empowering Industrial Scenarios with 'Artificial Intelligence + Data Factors ×'
On March 12, 2025, under the guidance of the Longgang District Government Data Bureau and the Longgang District Industry and Information Technology Bureau, the Longgang Data Factor Service Workstation of the Shenzhen Data Exchange (hereinafter referred to as 'Shenzhen Data Exchange') provided localized support for cross-border data merchant OORT, creating high-quality standardized industrial datasets through the global outsourcing labeling model of the Datahub tool listed at the Shenzhen Data Exchange for representative AI enterprises in Longgang District — Shenzhen CloudWalk Technology, and assisting in AI empowerment in industrial scenarios.
Previously, the (Shenzhen Action Plan for Accelerating the Construction of an Artificial Intelligence Pioneer City (2025-2026)) (hereinafter referred to as the Action Plan) was officially released, providing a clear roadmap for Shenzhen to seize opportunities in AI development. The Action Plan proposed accelerating the construction of industry corpora, fully utilizing Shenzhen's rich industrial advantages, continuously building industry corpora to support vertical model training, and creating high-value vertical datasets; promoting the Shenzhen Data Exchange to become a national-level data trading platform, issuing 'corpus vouchers' to facilitate AI corpus sharing and trading; and exploring new models for cross-border data flow. Leveraging the advantages of proximity to Hong Kong and Macau, it aims to promote orderly cross-border data flow. Strengthening the institutional framework for cross-border data, it seeks to explore classified and graded management of cross-border data flow based on the most urgent scenarios.
As the core hub for the circulation of national data factors, the Shenzhen Data Exchange actively responds to policy deployments, focusing on the two core tasks of 'building industry corpora' and 'exploring cross-border data flow', fully empowering innovation in the AI industry and contributing 'data power' to Shenzhen's rapid development as an AI pioneer city.
The Shenzhen Data Exchange promotes the optimization of data resource allocation within the Greater Bay Area by constructing cross-border data zones and facilitating cross-border data flow, providing a model for the interconnectivity of the global data factor market. In addition, the Shenzhen Data Exchange lowers the data usage costs for enterprises through supportive policies and innovative services, invigorating the market players and injecting strong momentum into the ecological construction and sustainable development of the AI industry.
CloudWalk Technology, registered in Longgang, Shenzhen in 2014, is a leading enterprise in China's edge AI sector, with stock code 688343.SH. Based on independently developed multimodal large models and neural network processor platforms, CloudWalk has created various edge AI products and solutions aimed at consumers, enterprises, and industries, driving AI into countless sectors and making intelligence ubiquitous.
Shenzhen Longgang District has strongly supported CloudWalk Technology since its inception in the AI industry. In 2015, CloudWalk Technology built the world's first city-level intelligent security system 'Deep Eye' in Longgang, helping the district become the first 'AI-based security demonstration zone' globally. Since then, CloudWalk and Longgang have engaged in deep cooperation in areas such as smart parks and smart governance, creating a series of industry benchmarks for AI applications.
On April 4, 2023, the AI company founded and grown in Shenzhen — Shenzhen CloudWalk Technology Co., Ltd. officially landed on the STAR Market, becoming the 'first AI stock in Shenzhen', with an issuance price of 43.92 yuan/share.
As a company focused on decentralized AI technology, OORT is committed to building a future-oriented decentralized and trustworthy AI infrastructure that integrates the entire process of data collection, labeling, storage, and computing, aiming to provide global enterprises with secure, efficient, private, and trustworthy AI solutions.
Shenzhen CloudWalk Technology has reached a cooperation agreement with OORT — utilizing the data tool OORT Datahub listed on the Shenzhen Data Exchange to collect datasets from the industrial field, including professional respiratory mask and confined space operation ventilation duct images. After preliminary discussions, four dataset collection needs were confirmed for CloudWalk to use in model training, testing, and verification, serving the purpose of creating large models for the industrial sector and empowering smart factories.
In this collaboration, the commercial version of OORT DataHub officially launched on December 11, 2024, and completed its product listing at the Shenzhen Data Exchange on December 21, 2024, becoming the first cross-border decentralized AI data tool listed on a national data trading platform.
OORT DataHub provides an innovative method for AI data collection and labeling, allowing global contributors to collect, categorize, and preprocess data for AI applications. By utilizing blockchain technology, it solves the problems of singular data sources and low labeling efficiency found in traditional data collection methods, while also enhancing security.
OORT DataHub ensures data transparency and user privacy protection, promoting global data circulation and collaboration, thereby helping to build a fair, diverse, secure, transparent, and trustworthy AI ecosystem in a more efficient and cost-effective manner. In 2024, OORT DataHub completed its product listing at the Shenzhen Data Exchange, opening up a new avenue for AI enterprises and research institutions to obtain high-quality, diverse, and secure compliant datasets.
Zheng Wenxian, Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President of CloudWalk Technology, stated: 'The technological innovation of OORT complements the platform network advantages of the Shenzhen Data Exchange, providing high-quality datasets for global AI enterprises, accelerating the marketization process of data factors, and also providing key support for Shenzhen to radiate the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area in building a 'global artificial intelligence pioneer city'.'
Dr. Max Li, professor at Columbia University and founder and CEO of OORT, pointed out that OORT has established one of the world's largest decentralized cloud infrastructures, with network nodes covering over 100 countries, and launched the open-source Layer 1 Olympus protocol (whose consensus algorithm is 'Proof of Honesty' PoH). After the commercial version of OORT DataHub was officially launched, it quickly attracted attention, with over 18,000 registered users in the first month; it now has 110,000 registered users globally and has integrated with a Telegram mini-app to reach millions of potential data contributors, marking a further step towards global, diverse, and transparent data collection, laying a solid foundation for the exponential growth of decentralized AI.
OORT has received funding from Microsoft and Google, and has established partnerships with many industry giants, such as Dell, Tencent Cloud, Seagate, Lenovo Image, and BNB Chain. This collaboration not only lays the foundation for OORT's globalization strategy but also provides innovative practices for the Shenzhen Data Exchange to create a 'market-oriented allocation model for data factors in Shenzhen' with international influence, marking a new stage for China in the integration of decentralized AI and data factors.
