Franklin Templeton Bets on XRP ETF

One of the world's largest asset managers, Franklin Templeton, has joined a growing group of institutions looking to launch cryptocurrency-based ETFs.

On March 11 this year, the company filed an application with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to launch an ETF tracking the price of XRP.

The planned ETF would be listed on the Cboe BZX exchange and its assets would be held by Coinbase, one of the largest global cryptocurrency custodians.
