$ADA A paragraphs are a series of organized and coherent sentences, all of which relate to a single theme. Almost all writing that exceeds a few sentences should be organized into paragraphs. This is because paragraphs show the beginning and end of the subdivisions of the paper to the reader, helping them understand the organization of the paper and grasp its main points.

Paragraphs can contain many different types of information. A paragraph may include a series of brief examples or a lengthy illustration of a general point. It may describe a place, character, or process; narrate a series of events; compare or contrast two or more things; categorize items; or describe causes and effects. Regardless of the information included, all paragraphs share certain common characteristics. One of the most important features is the topic sentence.
