$BTC ALERT 🚨 State Bitcoin Reserve Bills Facing Rejection 🔻 A surge of state-level Bitcoin reserve proposals in the U.S. has encountered obstacles as multiple states have turned down bills to invest public funds in the cryptocurrency. Over 20 states have introduced or are considering legislation regarding Bitcoin reserves, but many bills have been met with uncertainty. States like Montana, South Dakota, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, and Wyoming have recently rejected such proposals. For instance, Montana's House Bill 429 aimed to allocate $50 million for Bitcoin, stablecoins, and precious metals but failed to pass. Similarly, South Dakota's HB 1202 and North Dakota's HB 1184 were also rejected due to concerns about volatility and feasibility. Despite setbacks, some states like Utah and Texas are making progress with Bitcoin-related bills. With numerous bills pending, the movement for state Bitcoin reserves continues as lawmakers explore the role of digital assets in public finance. downward
