Today, February 21, 2025, a cryptocurrency exchange was hacked, resulting in the theft of approximately $1.4 billion in cryptocurrency. The attackers gained access to the exchange's cold wallet containing Ethereum and transferred over 400,000 tokens to unknown addresses.

CEO Ben Zhou assured that customer funds remain safe and the exchange continues to operate as normal. However, after the attack was announced, the value of Ethereum fell by 6% and exchange users began to withdraw their funds en masse.

The exchange is currently actively investigating the incident and working with blockchain experts to track and recover the stolen assets.
