Binance Updates Token Information Methodology

Fellow Binancians,
Starting from 2025-02-14 (UTC), Binance will be updating our token information methodology, incorporating token unlock schedules for information on Market Capitalization and Circulating Supply.
Binance is enhancing user experience by improving transparency with a more detailed and reliable view of token unlock events, which can help users make better-informed trading decisions.
Key Updates:
Old Methodology
Market Capitalization: Calculated by multiplying the asset's liquidity by its current price.Circulating Supply: The number of tokens in circulation in the market in the hands of the public.
New Methodology
We will work with projects listed on Binance to provide the necessary details regarding their token unlock schedules. The new methodology provides a more comprehensive view by including unlocked tokens in the calculation of market capitalization. Unlocked tokens will have their token unlock schedule available for viewing.
With this new update, users can now view the token unlock schedule and its details for each project through the provided links on the Binance website and Binance App in the project overview section.
Market Capitalization: Calculated by multiplying the circulating supply with the current price. This includes unlocked tokens. If the unlocked token data is unavailable, non-publicly accessible tokens will be excluded.Circulating Supply: Tokens available for trading will include unlocked tokens. If the unlocked token data is unavailable, non-publicly accessible tokens will be excluded.
