Insiders indicate that the board, in principle, approves of the decision for Altman and co-founder Greg Brockman to return. The existing OpenAI board includes chief scientist Ilya Sutskever, Quora CEO Adam D'Angelo, former CEO of GeoSim Systems Tasha McCauley, and Strategy Director of Georgetown Center for Security and Emerging Technology Helen Toner. None of the board members currently hold an equity position in OpenAI.
