On August 22, the SHIB community set a new record by burning 1.01 billion SHIB in just 24 hours. However, the SHIB burn rate has since declined, as reported last week. SHIBBURN data shows that over 1.84 billion SHIB tokens were burned in about 255 transactions last week, representing a 38.76% reduction in the weekly SHIB burn rate. More recent statistics indicate a decreasing trend in the number of SHIB tokens burned daily. For example, in the 24 hours before this report, approximately 47.59 million SHIB tokens were burned, a 50% drop from the previous period.
