What alternative was proposed to Ukrainians regarding crypto taxes: exclusive interview with the Ministry of Digital Transformation

In November, two bills on the taxation of crypto asset transactions and market regulation were registered in the Verkhovna Rada.

The first document provides for taxation for individuals on income from crypto asset transactions at a rate of 18% personal income tax and an additional 1.5% military levy, and also makes service providers, including exchanges, tax agents for their clients. Incrypted made a detailed review of the draft law and learned the opinions of experts and the community about it:

Ten days later, on November 17, a second—alternative—bill was registered in the Rada. Its development was handled by the Ministry of Digital Transformation together with business representatives.

We spoke with representatives of the ministry's team—Director of the Digital Economy Directorate Yulia Parkhomenko and Chief Lawyer of the Project Office for Virtual Assets at the Ministry of Digital Transformation Dmitry Nikolaevsky about this bill.
