#VANA The first open protocol for data sovereignty. User-owned AI through user-owned data. Growing the DataDAO ecosystem.
A special panel discussion on "Data Sovereignty and the Future of Decentralized AI" was held on December 5 at X Space. The seminar, led by Viat’s founder Anna Kazlauskas, featured prominent experts from the forefront of decentralization and AI, including MIT Media Lab, Flower AI, and ZK Email.
Viata emphasized the importance of data sovereignty while presenting a new vision for decentralized AI. Anna Kazlauskas stated, "The Viata Network empowers users with data ownership, maximizing the potential of personal data to develop more robust AI models." Viata recently released a whitepaper on the 'Viata Protocol,' moving closer to realizing decentralized AI.
MIT Media Lab's Professor Ramesh Raskar contributed to formalizing the protocol's design and technical vision through collaboration with Viata. He stressed, "Society should move toward a system where numerous small AIs interact and evolve, rather than centralized AI." Raskar added, "Viata’s data sovereignty model protects user data while opening new possibilities for AI training."
