According to PANews, Cos, the founder of SlowMist, recently issued a warning about the prevalent Telegram Safeguard scam, which primarily involves two types of threats: account theft and malware implantation. The account theft scam lures users into providing their phone numbers, login codes, or two-factor authentication passwords. It is crucial for users to remember never to share this sensitive information.

The malware threat is more severe, as it involves the creation of fake channels that guide users to execute a Powershell command, ultimately leading to the installation of the Remcos remote control Trojan. This malware can completely compromise a user's computer. To avoid significant losses, users are advised to be cautious of unfamiliar links and codes.
