According to Odaily, Ethereum developer Ryan Berckmans has shared his thoughts on Max Resnick's recent departure from the Ethereum core development community. Berckmans expressed satisfaction with Resnick's move, noting that critics like Resnick often argue that Ethereum should emulate Solana. However, Berckmans believes that Ethereum has already reached its peak through its Layer 2 scaling strategy and does not need to alter its approach.
Berckmans highlighted that Solana is attempting to acquire what Ethereum already possesses, such as client diversity, genuine protocol specifications, a robust research community, and substantial on-chain capital. He pointed out that Solana is making significant efforts to become more like Ethereum, which is ironic given Resnick's previous assertions that Ethereum should become more like Solana. Despite Solana's financial resources, Berckmans argued that they cannot purchase decentralization, describing Solana as a well-funded paper tiger. He concluded that this situation is unsurprising and fitting for Resnick.
