According to Odaily, Christine Kim, Vice President of Research at Galaxy, summarized the key points from the 201st Ethereum Core Developers Execution (ACDE) call. The meeting confirmed the inclusion of Pectra in EIP 7691, which will double the blob capacity. Additionally, EIP 7623, which increases calldata costs, was also incorporated. However, EIP 7762, which proposes an increase in the minimum blob base fee, was not included, though it may be discussed further in the next ACD meeting.

The call also addressed EIP 7639, which proposes stopping the provision of pre-merge historical records, and EIP 4803, which aims to limit transaction gas. These proposals may relate to Pectra and are pending further discussion. The former is a purely network change, while the latter is a retrospective EIP that will not alter existing client behavior.

Two weeks ago, the Mekong testnet, based on Pectra Devnet 4 specifications, encountered significant issues, prompting all client teams to release fixes. The Mekong testnet is now stable, and developers are focusing on launching Devnet 5. The timeline for Devnet 5 and 6 will be discussed in the Pectra test call scheduled for next Monday.
