According to ChainCatcher, Goldman Sachs research shows that American companies have borne most of the cost of Trump's tariffs, but the burden will shift to consumers. As of June, American consumers bore about 22% of the tariff costs, which may rise to 67% in the future.
American companies currently bear about 64% of the tariff costs, which will drop to below 10% in the future. Foreign exporters bear about 14% of the tariff costs, which may rise to 25% in the future.
