According to PANews, the 216th Ethereum Execution Layer Core Developers Meeting (ACDE) revealed that developers have decided to remove EIP 7907 from the Fusaka upgrade. This decision means that the size limit for Ethereum smart contract code will remain unchanged for the foreseeable future. A version of this EIP might be reconsidered for the Glamsterdam hard fork, although its inclusion in the next hard fork is not guaranteed.
Tim Beiko shared a potential timeline for Fusaka's mainnet launch during the meeting. The proposed schedule includes the release of the client public testnet during the week of August 25, the first public testnet upgrade between September 22 and October 3, and the second testnet upgrade from October 6 to 10. Additionally, developers plan to initiate Fusaka Devnet-3 on July 23.
Regarding the Glamsterdam hard fork, developers have largely reached a consensus on the planned implementations. However, discussions continue on several key issues, including the "proposer-builder separation solidification mechanism" and "block-level access lists." Developers aim to finalize decisions on core code changes for the Glamsterdam upgrade within the next two to four weeks, following further input from the broader Ethereum community.
