According to Wu Shuo, Hong Kong Legislative Council member Wu Jiezhuang submitted a 2025 (Policy Address) proposal to Chief Executive John Lee, with key points including promoting Hong Kong to become a Web3 hub and improving crypto asset regulations and tax incentives.
The proposal also proposed to take the lead in establishing the "Belt and Road" Crypto Asset Regulatory Alliance, hold a regulatory summit in Hong Kong every year, and formulate international standards. In addition, it is recommended to establish an "Asset Tokenization" RWA Development Institute to promote compliance research and external promotion to attract companies to settle in Hong Kong.
