According to Foresight News, IMF Vice President Li Bo stated at the Summer Davos that the world is exploring regulations for digital currencies and stablecoins. Regions such as the United States, Europe, and Asia are building legal frameworks for stablecoins.

Li Bo pointed out that whether stablecoins are classified as currency or financial assets is a key issue, as their legal and regulatory requirements differ. Moreover, if considered as currency, it is necessary to clarify whether they belong to broad money M2 or cash-like M0, in order to establish the corresponding regulatory system.
