According to PANews, Aptos Labs, in collaboration with Jump Crypto, has launched the decentralized hot storage network Shelby, designed specifically for Web3 applications and suitable for scenarios such as streaming and AI data. Shelby features sub-second response times and pay-as-you-go billing capabilities, with read and write speeds comparable to cloud services. Projects such as Story Protocol and Metaplex will be the first to integrate. The Shelby developer testnet is expected to go live in the fourth quarter of 2025, supporting multi-chain ecosystems like Aptos, Ethereum, and Solana.
