U.S. non-farm employment population in May is 139,000, expected 130,000

According to BlockBeats, the seasonally adjusted non-farm employment population in the U.S. recorded 139,000 in May, the lowest since February, but higher than the market expectation of 130,000.

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics pointed out that employment in the healthcare, leisure and hospitality, and social assistance sectors continues to grow. The federal government, however, continues to lay off workers.
