According to Odaily, JPMorgan has released a research report indicating that despite ongoing upgrades to the Ethereum blockchain, its activity levels have not significantly increased. The bank highlighted that since the Dencun upgrade in March 2024, both average and total fees have decreased, yet there has been no substantial growth in daily transaction numbers or active addresses. Additionally, futures positions suggest that institutional investors have played a significant role in the recent rise of ETH. On May 7, Ethereum initiated the Pectra upgrade, aimed at simplifying the staking process, enhancing wallet functionality, and improving overall efficiency.
