Binance Academy has announced a strategic partnership with Pakistan’s Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT) to bring blockchain education to the country’s university system. The initiative aims to train 300 educators and educate over 80,000 students across 20 universities by 2026.

The collaboration is designed to build a robust pipeline of blockchain talent, equipping students with practical Web3 skills and aligning with the goals of the Global University Outreach Program (GUOP) — the world’s largest blockchain education initiative.

Empowering Pakistan’s Next-Gen Blockchain Talent

The partnership will integrate BNB Chain fundamentals, Solidity programming, and core Web3 concepts into academic curricula. Participating educators will undergo specialized training and receive certification, enabling them to deliver blockchain courses independently. Students who complete the courses will also receive official certificates.

“As blockchain reshapes the global financial landscape, empowering people with the right skills is essential,” said Bader Al Kalooti, MEASA Head of Growth and Operations at Binance. “This partnership marks a significant step toward building a knowledgeable workforce ready to drive digital innovation.”

Aligning with National Digital Transformation Goals

The effort supports Pakistan’s broader digital transformation agenda, emphasizing education as a driver of both economic growth and global competitiveness in emerging technologies.

Minister of IT and Telecom, Ms. Shaza Fatima Khawaja, welcomed the initiative, stating:

“This partnership contributes to our digital transformation by positioning Pakistan as a global source of skilled blockchain talent. By collaborating with Binance and the Blockchain & AI Technology Center, we are equipping our students to lead in the digital economy.”

Building on Binance Academy’s Existing Impact in Pakistan

Since 2022, Binance Academy has trained over 3,000 students from 13 universities across three provinces in Pakistan. This new program significantly scales the effort, building on past success to deliver nationwide educational access to blockchain and Web3 technologies.

The GUOP, first piloted in Kazakhstan in 2023, has since expanded to 20 countries, targeting over 200 universities across 50+ countries, with the goal of reaching 1 million students by 2026.

The Binance Academy–MoITT partnership represents a key milestone in mainstreaming blockchain education in Pakistan. It seeks to empower youth with future-proof skills, prepare the country for the digital economy, and foster a generation of innovators ready to contribute to both local and global tech ecosystems.
